Questions people ask

Will you ask for my passwords?

No. Never. If a password is needed to get into something, you type it yourself while I look away. If anyone ever asks you for a password, a gift card, or a card number in my name, it is not me.

I am not good with computers. Is that a problem?

Not at all. That is exactly who I help. There are no silly questions, and I will not use jargon.

Can my son, daughter or a friend book for me?

Yes. On the booking form, tick "I am booking for someone else" and add your details as well. Both of you will get the emails. They are welcome to be there on the day or on the phone.

I do not use email. Can I still book?

Yes. You can fill in the form without an email address and I will phone you to confirm.

How do I know when you are coming?

After you ask, I confirm the time, usually within a day. You get a reminder the day before.

What if I need to cancel or change the time?

Use the "Change or cancel" link in your email. Please let me know as early as you can. There is no fee for cancelling.

How do I pay?

After the visit, by card, Zelle or cash. You will know the price before I start, so there is no surprise.

Can you fix a virus or something that has been hacked?

I can often clean up a computer and help you secure your accounts. I will tell you honestly what I find and what I can and cannot do. If something involves your bank or identity, I will also tell you who to call.

Do you work on Apple and Windows?

Yes: Windows computers, Macs, iPhones, iPads and Android phones and tablets. If I cannot help with something, I will say so and point you to who can.

What if my problem is outside your area?

House calls cover Madison, Georgia and about 15 miles around it. Remote help works from anywhere, so ask for that instead, or call and we will see what is possible.

Is my information safe?

I only ask for what I need to book your visit: your name, phone number, email if you have one, and your address for house calls. I never sell it. See the privacy page.
