Terms for visits and remote help
Short and in plain words. By asking for a visit you agree to these.
Prices and payment
- The price is the one shown on the services page, or the estimate I give you before I start. I will not do anything that costs more without asking you first.
- You pay after the visit, by card, Zelle or cash. Nothing is charged when you book.
Booking and cancelling
- A request is not a booking until I confirm it. I may decline a request and will tell you why.
- You can cancel at any time with the link in your email. Please give as much notice as you can. There is no fee for cancelling.
- If I cannot come, I will tell you as early as I can and help you find another time.
Remote sessions
- A remote session happens only if you agree to it, and you stay at the computer and can end it at any moment.
- I will never ask for your passwords. If one is needed, you type it yourself.
- When the session ends I close the connection.
Your data and devices
- I will ask before I change or delete anything, and I will not remove your personal files without your say-so.
- Computers can fail. I strongly suggest a recent backup of anything important before any work. I will help you set one up.
- I cannot promise a repair will succeed. If I cannot fix it, I will say so, and explain what I found.
Limits
I take care of your home, your devices and your information. To the extent the law allows, my responsibility for any problem is limited to the amount you paid me for that visit. This does not take away rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.
